American Pathways University offers programs of General Education, Life Skills Development, the Associate of Arts and Bachelor of Arts degrees, academic majors, and certificate and non-degree programs.

GENERAL EDUCATION
General education is intended to impart the breadth of common knowledge, intellectual concepts, and attitudes that every educated person should possess. American Pathways University has adopted the general education requirements of the Colorado Commission on Higher Education (CCHE), utilized by the state's thirteen public universities. To these requirements, American Pathways University's requires additional courses in speech, computing, philosophy, and social and behavioral sciences. At American Pathways University all students pursing a degree must complete the American Pathways University General Education Core Curriculum requirements for the A.A. degree (38 credits) or for the B.A. degree (50 credits) in English, speech, history, literature, philosophy and ethics, sociology, psychology, economics, science, mathematics, the fine arts, political science, and computing.

LIFE SKILLS DEVELOPMENT
American Pathways University requires completion of courses in life skills development (3 credits) in planning, health, and success that result in personal strategies, methodologies, and responsibility.

ASSOCIATE OF ARTS (A.A.)
The Associate of Arts degree combines the General Education Core Curriculum courses, Life Skills Development courses, an optional professional concentration, and elective courses. The A.A. prepares students for further study toward the B.A degree and careers in a professional field (if a professional concentration is chosen). The A.A. requires 60 college credits and generally can be completed in two years of study.

BACHELOR OF ARTS (B.A.)
The Bachelor of Arts degree prepares students for success in selected professions and for graduate-level study. The B.A. requires a General Education Core Curriculum that features a broad range of studies in the arts and humanities, natural and social sciences, and religious studies. It requires specialization in a professional field (called the academic major) and completion of the Life Skills Development program. The B.A. requires 120 college credits and generally can be completed in four years of study.

ACADEMIC MAJORS
American Pathways University offers majors and concentrations in business, human services, organization leadership & management, and practical theology.

OTHER ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

American Pathways University offers programs in minors & specializations, undergraduate certificates, college preparation, and study aboard.
